Summertime

Kendall has definitely decided that riding horses (real or not) is her new favorite passtime. We try to get her on any horse whenever we can. She wants no help from anyone and likes it even more when she goes fast ("more fast Mommy"). We took a trip to the fair this past weekend, and she got the chance to ride both real and fake horses, as well as some other things.

July 4th

We celebrated July 4th at the local downtown park. It rained really heavily right as we were eating dinner, but Kendall seemed to have more fun playing in the rain and in the puddles. Later, we listed to some live music and she danced along. She was enthralled by the fireworks, calling out all the colors she saw and punctuating with an occasional "Oh, WOW!!"

Kendall found a moose at the park today and they exchanged some love.

New Job

Here is a bit of non-Kendall-related news. I went for an interview yesterday and was offered a job right then. I will attend orientation next Monday and start training probably before we come east for the wedding.

Kendall had a nasty case of the flu recently. All she wanted to do was snuggle. This was a pleasant change from her usual "go, go, go" way of life. By the way, she did her own hair that day!

Kendall got very dressed up to go to brunch and she had a great time!

We went for a massive egg hunt at a local realty office. Kendall ran into her friend Alana there and the girls enjoyed walking and hunting for eggs together.

Do I blog?

I have always kind of made fun of people who "blog" on a regular basis, but it seems to be necessary for us at this time. I can't promise that this will be updated all the time, but we will do our best so the family can keep up with what we are doing.
